- ½ cup Mayonnaise (eggless or regular)
- 1.5 tbsp Tomato ketchup
- ½ tsp Garlic powder (or finely grated garlic)
- ½ tsp Red chilli flakes
- ½ tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Oregano or Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp Dried basil
- 1 pinch Salt as needed
- 1 to 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp Warm water (optional, to adjust consistency)
In a wide mixing bowl, add mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, garlic powder, red chilli flakes, black pepper powder, Italian seasoning or oregano, dried basil, salt, and extra virgin olive oil.
Whisk well until completely smooth and creamy. Check the consistency; if too thick, whisk in 1 tablespoon of warm water or extra olive oil. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve with nachos, potato chips, french fries, or potato wedges.
- Adjust the quantity of Italian seasoning, chilli flakes, and black pepper to suit your spice preference.
- For a tangy yogurt variation, substitute tomato ketchup with 1 tablespoon of thick hung curd (Greek yogurt) or sour cream.
- Store leftover dip in a sealed airtight glass container in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days.
